Rulers of the Deep w/ Seamus Haji | 07.11

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨 oli house-muusika sünnikoht, kuid 1990. aastate saabudes oli 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 house-muusika keskus. Üheks varajaisemaks epohhi loonud plaadifirmaks oli 𝐍𝐮 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬. Näiteks 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐲 "𝐃𝐨𝐩𝐞" 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐳 (MAW) ja 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐉𝐨𝐞𝐲 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐨 alustasid oma muusika karjääri just selle plaadifirma alt.

Tänapäeval kannab Nu Groove-i pärandit edasi 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 (UK), mille alla see nüüd kuulub. Viimased aastad on fantastilist tööd teinud A&R'na (artisti ja repertuaari juhina) 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐣𝐢, kes on tõstnud Nu Groove-i uuesti kultuslikku staatusesse. Sellega seoses on meil au ja rõõm võõrustada Seamus Haji-t ametliku 𝐍𝐮 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐬.

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨 was the birthplace of house music, but by the 1990s, 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 had become its main hub. One of the early record labels that defined an era was 𝐍𝐮 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬. Artists like 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐲 "𝐃𝐨𝐩𝐞" 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐳 (MAW) and 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐉𝐨𝐞𝐲 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐨 started their music careers under this label.

Today, the legacy of Nu Groove lives on through 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 (UK), which now owns the label. In recent years, 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐣𝐢 has done a fantastic job as A&R (Artist and Repertoire), helping to restore Nu Groove to its cult status.

With that in mind, we are honored and excited to host Seamus Haji at the official 𝐍𝐮 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐤.

This time, it's a 𝐭𝐰𝐨-𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲, where both 𝐅𝐨𝐧𝐨 and 𝐅𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐤 will be filled with the best in 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞.
